Bio:
I have close to 14 years of experience as a Spanish and English Certified Court Interpreter and ATA Certified Translator. In 2021, I completed a Master of Conference Interpretation in Glendon College, York University. As an interpreter I specialize in depositions and have extensive interpretation experience in legal, educational and mental health settings. In my past life, I received a Master in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Licenciatura in Political Science from Universidad Católica Argentina with extensive work experience in government and international organizations.
In 2022 I become a CATI Director at Large, after an unexpected vacancy, and I am so glad I volunteered for this role. I am learning about the important work CATI does as the voice for interpreters in North and South Carolina and as a place of gathering and connecting through its annual conference, webinars and socials. I plan to keep working with these tools to expand its presence in South Carolina.
